Mind the Age Gap: Age Diversity in Work

What to expect in this session: Workplaces are becoming more age-diverse than ever. That diversity can be a real strength, offering richer problem-solving, better decision-making, and wider skillsets. But - as we probably know - it can also be undermined by lazy generational labels and stereotypes about what people are 'really like' because of their age. In this session, we look beyond clichés about “Gen Z”, “Boomers” and everything in between, and explore what the science actually tells us about age differences at work. Here, we'll share a few practical ways to build much greater inclusion and intergenerational working practices. - Who’s facilitating this session: Shay Deeny, host of this session, is a BPS- and APA-accredited organisational psychologist who draws on modern, evidence-informed behavioural science to support people and organisations across multiple countries and industries. His work focuses on helping people challenge assumptions, shift perspective, and apply practical tools that improve how they work, communicate and collaborate with others.
